In Case You Missed Them... Summer's Biggest Hits

This summer was a hit blockbuster season and there were a number of movies that broke box office records even with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. In case you missed them, here are the top-rated summer movies of summer 2022.
This comedy animation film is another addition to the Despicable Me franchise that tells the first story of the young protagonist Gru and his passion for villainy. The adored Minions join him on his first missions as a budding supervillain to join the world’s most infamous villains, but in classic Minions fashion, the yellow henchmen and Gru get entangled into unexpected messy situations. The movie also garnered a cult following on TikTok, with teenagers catching this flick in their best suits.
The latest movie from the beloved Marvel franchise brings its fans on another hilarious journey of mighty Thor. Picking up from all the tragic events that Thor had to face during Avengers: Endgame, this movie begins with Thor picking up the pieces- finding his identity, inner peace, and his meaning in life. Unfortunately, he is abruptly interrupted by Gorr, a vengeful villain murdering gods across the galaxy. Hence, Thor recruits his friends, King Valkyrie, Korg, and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster to put an end to Gorr’s mission.
This epic and long-awaited finale to the Jurassic World saga entered cinemas this summer. Similar to the previous Jurassic movies, this film is packed with seat-gripping CGI dinosaur action that makes for a surefire thriller. The two treasured protagonists, Owen Grady and Claire Dearing, once again embark on a rescue mission to save dinosaurs, this time from a corporation seeking financial gain. To craft a perfect ending, Director Colin Trevorrow even brings together the best of both worlds by enlisting help from the original ‘Jurassic Park’ characters for one last time.
